Overview
Mini CRM is a small customer relationship manager you host yourself. It suits sales teams of one to about twenty people who want their contacts, deals and follow-ups in one place, in English or Arabic, without a monthly subscription.
Pipeline you can see
- Kanban board: drag deal cards between stages with a mouse or a finger, or move them with the keyboard (Space, arrow keys, Space). A move menu on every card works too.
- Table view with search, owner, tag, stage and status filters, sorting and CSV export.
- Deal page with a stage stepper, one-click Won, Lost with a reason, weighted value, stage history and a timeline of activities.
- Your own stages: names in both languages, win probability, colour and order.
Contacts, companies and activities
- A shared address book of contacts and companies with tags, notes and their deals and activities.
- Activities: calls, meetings, notes and tasks with a due date and optional time, linked to a deal, contact or company. Lists for open, overdue and completed work.
- Global search across people, companies and deals.
Dashboard and reports
- Dashboard: open pipeline, weighted forecast, won this month, win rate, team agenda, deals closing soon and recent stage changes.
- Reports for any period: pipeline value per stage, won and lost by month, six-month forecast, lost reasons, activity per user and results per owner. Each report downloads as CSV.
CSV import and export
- Export contacts, companies, deals and activities in UTF-8 CSV that opens in Excel.
- Import contacts, companies and deals: run a check first, see every problem by line and column, and nothing is saved until the whole file is valid. Companies are created and existing contacts are updated automatically.
Roles and security
- Administrator: everything, including users, stages, tags and settings.
- Sales rep: sees and works only on their own deals. This is enforced on the server for every page, export, report and search.
- scrypt password hashing, one-time passwords that must be changed at first sign-in, httpOnly SameSite session cookies, CSRF tokens on every form, sign-in rate limiting, parameterised SQL, escaped output, a strict Content-Security-Policy and formula-safe CSV exports.
The Arabic interface is real right-to-left, with Arabic plural forms and a choice of Western or Arabic-Indic digits. Fonts are bundled, and the app makes no calls to outside services.

Requirements
Node.js 22 or newer with npm. SQLite is built in and stored in a single file; no database server or external services needed.
Compatibility
The SQLite driver ships prebuilt binaries for Windows, macOS and Linux (x64 and arm64), so no C/C++ compiler is needed to install. The interface uses standard HTML, CSS and JavaScript for current browsers and adapts to desktop, tablet and phone. Installation tested on Linux x64 and Windows x64; interface tested with Chromium.
Installation
- Install Node.js 22 or newer from nodejs.org.
- Unzip the download and open a terminal in the
mini-crmfolder. - Install the one dependency:
npm install - (Optional) Copy
.env.exampleto.envto change the port, database location or cookie settings. - Create the database:

- Start the app:
npm startand open http://127.0.0.1:4124 - Sign in with a user name and the temporary password printed in step 5, then choose your own password.
Run the automated tests at any time with npm test. The README explains deployment behind HTTPS, backups and updates.
User guide
- Sign in at
/login. The first time, you choose your own password. - Set up (administrators): under Settings, enter your organisation name, currency, time zone and default language. Adjust Pipeline stages and Tags, then add your team under Users. Each new user gets a one-time password.
- Add records: use New in the top bar for a deal, contact, company or activity, or import existing lists under Import & export.
- Work the pipeline: on Deals, drag a card by its handle to another stage. With the keyboard, tab to the handle, press Space, use the arrow keys, and press Space again (Escape cancels). The ... menu on each card moves it too.
- Close deals: on a deal page, press Won, or Lost and give a reason.
- Log activities from any deal, contact or company page, and tick them off under Activities.
- Review results on the Dashboard and in Reports; choose a period and download any table as CSV.
- Switch language with the button in the top bar; each user's choice is remembered.
- Lost password: an administrator can reset it under Users; for the only administrator, run
npm run reset-password -- --username=<name>.
