Overview
Modern Blog Website Template is a contemporary, magazine-style blog for a writer, a small team or a niche publication. It comes with a complete fictional sample magazine, nine original stories of real length in each of its four languages, three authors and an original illustration for every story.
It is a static template: plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no build step and no external requests. Open index.html by double-clicking it, or upload the folder to any static host.
Please note: the forms do not send anything. The newsletter sign-up, the comment form and the contact form validate what is typed and then show a demo message. Nothing is sent, stored or published, and the comments under each story are static samples. To receive sign-ups, comments or messages, connect a form, newsletter or comment service of your choice; the README shows where. Search works in the browser over the stories bundled with the template.
Four complete languages: English, Arabic, French and Spanish, chosen from a menu in the header or with ?lang= in the address. Arabic is a real right-to-left layout with mirrored navigation, arrows and grids and its own typefaces.
Design: off-white and ink black with one electric vermilion accent, a large nameplate, an asymmetric grid, a strong grotesque display face with a matching Arabic display face, a readable serif for article text, and a light/dark toggle.

Requirements
Only a current browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. No server, database, Node.js, build step or internet connection is needed. Hosting is optional, on any static file host.
Compatibility
Desktop, tablet and phone, responsive from 390 px wide. Works when opened straight from the folder or from a static server. Tested in Chromium; testing in Firefox and Safari is still to be completed. Fonts are included and cover English, Arabic, French and Spanish.
Installation
- Unzip

modern-blog-website-template/index.html. The site opens in your browser with its sample content. No installation, server or internet connection is needed. - Optional: preview it over
http://with any static server, for examplepython3 -m http.server 8080inside the folder, then openhttp://localhost:8080/. - To publish it, upload the folder as it is to any static host. There is no build command.
Before going live, connect the forms to a service of your choice (they send nothing as delivered) and replace the sample contact details. The README explains how, together with replacing stories, images, colours and fonts.
User guide
Navigate with the menu in the header; on smaller screens the menu button opens it. The magnifier opens Search, the moon or sun switches between light and dark, and the globe opens the language menu (English, العربية, Français, Español). A link can open any page in one language with ?lang=ar (or en, fr, es). Your choices are remembered in this browser.
Archive: Stories lists everything; the tabs show one section, the tag buttons filter, and the page numbers move through the list without reloading.
Articles: the table of contents jumps to a section; share links open the service in a new tab, and Copy link copies the address. The comments are samples; the comment form checks the fields and shows a demo message.
Search looks through the stories bundled with the site.
Forms: newsletter, comment and contact forms validate and then say clearly that nothing was sent. To make them work, connect your own form or newsletter service as the README explains.
Your own content: stories are listed in assets/js/content/posts.js and written in one file per language in assets/js/content/; interface texts are in assets/js/locales/; settings are in assets/js/config.js.
