Overview
This free invoice template gives you a clean, ready-to-use invoice in two formats: an Excel workbook that does the maths and the same invoice as a Word document. Fill in your details, add your logo and send it as a PDF.
What is in the ZIP (per language)
- 01-Invoice-Template.xlsx (Excel): seller and client blocks, invoice number, invoice date, payment terms and a due date calculated from them, currency code, 10 line items (quantity × unit price), subtotal, tax rate and tax, total, amount paid and balance due, payment details with an automatic payment reference, notes. A second sheet explains how to use it.
- 02-Invoice-Template.docx (Word): the same invoice as an editable Word document, with page numbers in the footer. Its totals are typed, so it suits people who prefer Word; the Excel file calculates automatically.
English and Arabic
English/ and Arabic/ folders hold the same two files. The Arabic invoice uses a right-to-left sheet and right-to-left Word paragraphs and tables, with Western digits.
Good to know
- Shaded input cells; formula cells are locked with sheet protection without a password, so the layout can still be changed.
- One A4 page, with US Letter instructions in the README. Arial only, so nothing needs installing. A "YOUR LOGO" placeholder and one teal accent colour.
- Plain .xlsx and .docx, no macros. Includes a preview PDF per language and a README in English and Arabic.
- All names, addresses and figures are fictional samples. This invoice template is not tax advice; check what invoices must show in your country.

Requirements
Microsoft Excel and Word 2016 or later, Microsoft 365 (Windows or Mac), or LibreOffice 7 or later. The files can also be uploaded to Google Drive and opened with Google Sheets and Google Docs. A PDF viewer for the preview files. No software is included.
Compatibility

Installation

English/orArabic/folder. - Open the invoice in Excel (or the Word version in Word) and save a copy under your own name.
- Look at

User guide
- Fill in: type over the shaded cells; everything else is calculated.
- Due date: invoice date + payment terms (days).
- Tax: enter your rate as a percentage, or 0%.
- Logo: Review > Unprotect Sheet (no password), then Insert > Pictures over the YOUR LOGO box.
- Word version: update the typed totals by hand, or use the Excel file for automatic totals.
- Print / PDF: set for one A4 page; for Letter use Page Layout > Size > Letter.
