Overview
Horizon Europe Proposal Writing Kit: an editable Word kit for drafting the Part B narrative of a Horizon Europe proposal for a collaborative Research and Innovation Action. It follows the publicly known Part B structure (1 Excellence, 2 Impact, 3 Quality and efficiency of the implementation) and shows what a complete, specific answer looks like, section by section.
The worked example is VELMAQUA, an invented four-year project on smart water management for drought resilience in small European towns, with six fictional partners. Every number matches across the document: objectives and targets, work packages, tasks, deliverables, milestones, months and person-months. All prose is original.

How it works
- Blue guidance boxes explain what evaluators look for and the common mistakes; delete them before you submit.

- Arial throughout and Word styles, so it opens correctly in Word, LibreOffice and Google Docs with nothing to install.

Requirements
Microsoft Word 2010 or later or Microsoft 365, LibreOffice Writer, or Google Docs. A PDF reader for the preview. No extra fonts are needed (Arial only). No software is included.
Compatibility
Standard .docx files with no macros, checked page by page in LibreOffice 24.2; they also open in Microsoft Word and Google Docs. Page breaks, cell shading and the table of contents can look slightly different in Google Docs.

User guide
- Start here: download the official Part B template for your call and read the topic text.
- Work section by section: read the guidance box and the model answer in file 01, then write your own answer in file 02.
- Placeholders: search for "[" to find every yellow placeholder.
- Numbers: build the staff effort table first and take every person-month figure from it.
- Gantt chart: shade month cells (Table Design > Shading) to draw or move bars.
- Before submitting: work through the checklist, move your text into the official template and delete all guidance boxes.
